Welcome to the website of Rayleigh, Castle Point & District branch of Cats Protection. We cover the areas of Canvey Island, Benfleet, Thundersley, Hadleigh, Rayleigh, Hockley, Hullbridge and Lower Hockley.
Our branch was founded in 1984 and is run entirely by volunteers. Our purpose is to improve the lives of felines living in our area and, over the years, we have homed hundreds of cats and kittens and provided advice and practical assistance to people.
Our volunteers work tirelessly to help cats and we are dependent on our own fundraising efforts to fund the work we do. Money is always tight and, to raise funds, we organise various events, details of which can be found on our Events page.
We are also looking for volunteers. If you can help foster cats and kittens, transport and collect jumble, take and collect cats to and from the vets; store jumble .. in fact, anything that would help, please contact any of our volunteers.
